Partner and Trio Piano Lessons
What better way to start piano lessons then with a friend! Students learn the fundamentals of piano in a 45 minute lesson shared with another beginner of the same age or in a 60 minute lesson with three students. This makes the first years of learning piano a fun and engaging as we explore reading music, playing by ear, improvising, composing and much more! Most students being learning with a partner before progressing to collaborative 60 minutes after a year of learning. This style of lesson is usually for primary school aged children (5 years and above) in their first year of playing, but some preschool age students may also suit partner lessons.
To add variety and novelty to learning once a term normal lessons are replaced with a larger group class where we work on musicianship and performing skills - these are always a highlight for the students as not only do they get to engage in group style learning and learn from other students, but it also builds a lovely musical community (and is lots of fun!). In my lessons students learn to read music fluently and sight read with ease as well as play music by ear. We explore a variety of musical styles including classical and modern composers. Students also learn how to improvise and compose their own music. I have a vast music library with an exciting array of music to suit every musical taste, there is always something in my file to excite every student! Students also have group classes, piano parties and concerts to look forward to and to always have something to work towards so they are motivated to practice. We also do regular practice challenges to inspire good practice habits in a fun way. |
